It means, that your Friend is asking for help! Visit your Friend’s farm and look it through. The marks can be above the Withered Trees and/or the Ship.
If they are – chop down the Tree and/or help to complete a Ship Order. You’ll get useful Neighbor Cards for the help!
If they aren’t – probably another farmer has already helped your Friend. You can help next time!
